The Full Fundy: Dulse Harvest & Tidal Return

This comprehensive 6-hour tour combines the dulse harvesting workshop with the "Meeting of the Waters" tidal event.

Available on select dates following the new and full moons, you will harvest seaweed, enjoy a dulse-infused beach picnic, and then watch the powerful incoming tide fill the channel.

This tour covers foraging, geology, awesome landscapes, local history, and tidal observation in one trip.

The experience ends with a rustic picnic featuring dulse-infused foods.

Following the full and new moons, select days offer a rare chance to explore the ocean floor and access the dulse-growing regions of the Bay of Fundy’s Minas Basin. Submerged once or twice daily by the world’s highest tides, this dynamic ecosystem provides a hands-on, sustainable foraging experience from June through September.
Join your guide to locate, identify, and harvest one of the ocean’s most nutritious red seaweeds. Learn traditional techniques for preparing and preserving dulse, enjoy a rustic beach picnic featuring dulse-infused foods, and take home your own harvest complete with recipes to continue the tide-to-table experience.
The adventure culminates with a front-row encounter with one of the Bay of Fundy’s most dramatic natural events: the “Meeting of the Waters”. Watch as the tide rushes into the shallow channel, creating a powerful spectacle you’ll never forget.
This six-hour immersive experience combines hands-on foraging, coastal exploration, and the awe-inspiring drama of the Fundy tides — perfect for adventurers, food lovers, and nature enthusiasts alike.

This tour is exclusively tidal-dependent. Available on days following the full and new moons from June through September only!
